The Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support

Welcome to the Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support (OISDS). The office was formed on October 14, 2022, as an integrated institutional effectiveness unit by combining the institutional research office with the programs, accreditation and assessment office, and including the technology group:

OISDS will provide resources by supporting the campus community in various areas. For example, it includes the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data related to The University of Texas at Dallas’ mission and student learning outcomes. OISDS will also assist the campus to make informed decisions for its strategic planning and policy formation to support student success and academic programs. By doing so, OISDS will distribute reports to internal and external stakeholders to indicate how the University is meeting its strategic goals on the institutional and school/unit levels.

OISDS is led by Dr. Serenity Rose King, associate vice president for institutional success and decision support. She also serves the liaison for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on College (SACSCOC), Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and The University of Texas System (UT System). Dr. King reports to the Vice President and Chief Staff and will maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost to ensure that Academic Affairs remains fully engaged and supported.

Please note that the OISDS website is still under construction but in the meantime, you can find more information about us by going to the following websites:
