Exploring New Frontiers

UT Dallas is embarking on an exciting journey to enrich student engagement, communication, and incorporate digital tools that support staff & faculty interactions with students. Our Recruiting, Admissions, and Student Success teams have faced the challenge of using too many disparate systems and manual tasks to do things like reach out to prospective students, process applications, and get a full picture of how to proactively mentor students. This has caused unnecessary manual entry, delays in making admissions decisions, and an inability to use technology to do what they all do best and support students in their unique ways.

Constituent Resource Management - Leveraging Salesforce

We are among other higher education institutions doing the work to address these same challenges with the implementation of a Constituent Resource Management system (CRM). A CRM is a platform that puts the entire student-lifecycle into one intuitive place, working alongside the Student Information System (SIS) also known as PeopleSoft. Functions like viewing an information request from a prospective student(recruitment), reading the essay of an applicant (application review), and scheduling an advising session (student success) can all be done in one place with the data and tools to efficiently execute. Students will in turn be able to access and view critical areas of their personal student life in an easy -to -use and personalized portal. Salesforce Education Cloud and Marketing Cloud - a communication and engagement tool - have been selected as our CRM platform to support the student lifecycle. Why Project Europa?

In honor of the discovery of new tools by Galileo to view Jupiter’s moons, this project and the journey to go-live has been named Project Europa. Project Europa is our multi-year Salesforce Education Cloud transformation that will revitalize how we recruit and support our students. Our new CRM, Education Cloud, is set to go-live officially in August, 2025.
