Project Overview

Welcome to Project Europa.

The University of Texas at Dallas has embarked on a digital transformation to implement an enterprise-wide Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system to enhance the UT Dallas experience of students and alumni.

Imagine a platform that revolutionizes the way faculty and staff connect with our students. UT Dallas presents Project Europa, our path to Salesforce Education Cloud and Marketing Cloud, as that game-changer. Education & Marketing Cloud is designed to enhance every stage of the student journey, from recruitment to alumni engagement. With real-time data insights, personalized communication, and streamlined processes, it will help us build stronger, more meaningful relationships with students. Faculty and staff will be empowered to not just keep up with the digital age, but to lead it, ensuring each Comet feels valued, supported, and set up for success. The implementation is led by project teams that represent multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts from across campus.

UT Dallas' CRM implementation has been named Project Europa. After soliciting ideas from across campus, the name was selected because Europa, one of Jupiter's moons, was first identified by Galileo in the 17th century using a telescope he designed. This moon's discovery using a scientific tool parallels the ways that the University is leveraging a CRM solution as a tool for the success of our students and alumni.

UT Dallas partnered with Kennedy & Co. for Phase 0 of the CRM implementation in August 2023 to identify CRM requirements and priorities, create a university-wide technological roadmap, and finalize an RFP for CRM vendor and implementation partner selection. In Phase 1, Attain Partners was selected to work with the CRM Implementation Executive Committee and project teams to understand current state processes, pain points and future must-haves to inform final requirements. Phase 2 launched in July 2024 and is currently underway. This phase is focused on the build, implementation, launch, and data management. Project Timeline

August 2023: Phase 0 - Kickoff, Vision and Discovery. January-April 2024: Phase 0 - Demos Vendor Selection and Procurement. April-June 2024: Phase 1 - Project Planning, Discovery and Design. July 2024: Phase 2 - Launch Implementation Integration and Data Management. Summer 2025: CRM Launch, Go Live.
